This day trip from Cusco offers a variety of attractions, from the typical village and Inca ruins of Chinchero, to the Inca agricultural terraces at Moray, ancient Maras salt pans and breathtaking high Andean scenery.
An early morning bus ride through the Andean scenery beyond the city of Cusco will take us to the colonial-era village of Chinchero. Here we will visit the archaeological site and colorful market before continuing to the Inca agricultural terraces of Moray and the pre-Inca salt pans of Maras. These attractions are all located on the great plain of Chincheros, composed of a patchwork of different Andean crops, situated high above the Sacred Valley of the Incas and dominated by great snow-covered peaks. We will lunch on local produce and return to Cusco in the late afternoon.
