According to National Geographic, rainbow mountain is one of the places travelers should include on their bucket list.
We will pick you up from your hotel at around 3:00 or 4:00 am. For the next 3 hours, we will drive you to Pitumarca, where we’ll stop for breakfast. After breakfast, another 30-minute drive will take us to the Andean village of Hanchipata, from where we will begin the demanding hike to the pass (5100 m)
During the hike, you will have ample opportunity to marvel at the excellent views of snow-capped Andean mountain peaks. Look out also for alpacas, llamas and vizcachas along the way. The hike ends with a fine view of Rainbow Mountain and impressive Mount Ausangate (6300 m), considered by local people to be a sacred mountain.
In the afternoon we will drive back to Cusco, where you will be dropped off at your hotel.
